History of DeHaro' Kelpies: The Story Of Ti (High Tide)

We acknowledge the wisdom of the breeders and dog folk of the past who we have attempted to emulate. They are our mentors. It takes years to learn, to try and to fail, always attempting to put into practice what one can understand intellectually. Ti was our main teacher. It is said that a man only has one great dog in his lifetime. I hope that is not true. I hope that the kennel full of his sons,daughters, and grandkids will carry on his blood into the future of the Australian Kelpie in the United States.

The many satisfied ranchers, farmers, and stockmen that have used his offspring as working dogs bear witness to his greatness. Among other get, his son, our DeHaro’s Sport is now nine years old, and has been working the BarNun sheep for the years since Ti’s demise, and is a worthy dog. His daughter DeHaro’s Kate, has produced well. Ti carries on. That is as it should be.
