FDA says food from cloned animals is safe…

I have thought about cloned animals as food since they first cloned Dolly, the most famous sheep in the world. The world debated how humans would be directly affected by Cloned food fo sale says FDAthe new technology was developed on Feb 22, 1997. How we could use such technology on humans for humans? Mostly discussions surrounded medical purposes, i.e to grow and farm organs to augment the lack provided by donors. With the news just out yesterday that they have taken a rat heart and “bleached” it of it’s dna cells, froze it, then re-animated it with different rat dna cells is a marvelous feat and I do look forward to the first time we do this with a pig heart. Why a pig heart? A pig’s heart can function in a human. Note, this is done by choice on individuals with consent.

Going from surgical use of animal parts, to MASS DISTRIBUTION of Cloned Animals for food is a scary road indeed. Not just for the US citizens, but on a global market this does not feel right. The claims from the FDA just don’t add up when you start talking about the moral, spiritual, and religious perspectives. Further more the FDA does not think that a CLEARLY MARKED LABEL stating the food is cloned or may contain cloned material. How they come to that conclusion I dare say is only about selling more to a uninformed public. To read the full article visit msnbc.com

I for one don’t want to eat cloned animal products and if they do put it on the shelves I want it to be clearly labeled so I know not to buy it. How about you?
