Godaddy Live?
Who knew that Godaddy had a Radio show that plays live once a week on Wednesday at 4pm EST 1pm PST. The reason I know about this is from a post over at DNforum annoucing the Owner of DNfourm,
Adam Dicker, is going to be on today. He is not there to promote his forum, but rather to let the world know that he is now the VP of Godaddy's Domain Name After Market TDNAM. Being a domainer myself I am surprised he is working with Godaddy. This is the only service of the bigger players in the Registrar business that I have honestly not felt up to par. I would have loved to see a closer relationship with Moniker.com They have made great efforts to offer DNF members cool benefits in the past and even now. My bias is in favor of Moniker because I have met and worked with Moniker to buy and sell names, handle my portfolio of names, and had great experience using Moniker's escrow service…Monte even handled that one personally. Well this was going to more about Godaddy and Adam Dicker, than Moniker, but seems it didn't work out that way. Maybe after the show I feel inspaired to recap what Adam has to say and what he brings to the table by joining Godaddy, beside the 34,000 of his forum members' eyeballs and wallets. Getting Feedback About Businesses
Looking at what business and service to use online isn’t as hard as it once was. It doesn’t really matter what service you are looking for, just that you need something done and someone to do it. In the world of Web 2.0 and beyond, the question that nags at all of us while we are looking for a good service provider is, ” Is this a good service? Will I get ripped off? How do others feel about this business, really?”
Back in the day it was difficult to get real information about a company Continue reading

Google Inc. finally announced its intentions for the mobile phone industry Monday with the unveiling of the Open Handset Alliance, a group of manufacturers, technology companies and wireless carriers that are aiming to free up handsets with free software.

Javascript, AJAX, and Website Ratings
I got to thinking about different ways advertisers charge for placement of an ad/link on a page. Several Key components in figuring out a fair price to sell at are
- Alexa Rank
- Page Rank
- Unique Visitors
- and Page Views
Now let us take a closer look at the Page Views and its value to overall Ratings. Page Views have been important in determining what visitors are looking at on a web site. For example: You have pages www.yourwebsite.com/cool-product-for-sale.html and www.yourwebsite.com/cool-product-reviews.html You can check your stats application to see how often and how long they were on that pages make comparison between the two and various other analysis, but that landscape is changing.
Introducting AJAX:
It stands for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML.
AJAX powered applications often perform their function(s) on the same page without even so much as a page refresh. Think of Widgets and all they can do in one little block. Something like
eMiniMalls. One page can have several widgets on it. Each Widget allows for a Showing One or Multiple products (via keywords) Search for other products, and compare “Best Deals”
Here is an example of this widget:
I think we can expect to see a rapid decline in page views as any valid method of analysis. Sure you can still do your cross testing with static pages not using any Javascript or AJAX. It’s hard to compete with building full pages and driving traffic to them vs. having these extra features and options for the visitor to click through once they have landed on one of your pages as another way to monetize another stream of PPC.

Teen Millionaire: Web business going good
Not so long ago, teen Ashley Qualls lived in a one-bedroom apartment with her mom and sister. But with her computer and savvy business sense she made a better life for all of them.
Ashley Qualls doesn’t sound like a typical high school student. Maybe that’s because the 17-year-old is the CEO of a million-dollar business.
Ashley is the head of whateverlife.com, a website she started when she was just 14 — with eight dollars borrowed from her mother.
Excellent video to watch as she talks about what she has been doing online for the last 3 years to make her the big Money

4 letter Domains : ALL Registered!
Over the past few days the LLLL.com grab has come to a close. There are officially no more LLLL.com names left to register. There has been a log kept of how fast the names
were being purchased. Then the speculation began about the value of such names now, later, or is it just tasting gone mad? Oh, then discussion about the characters and what all theses LLLL.com are left for the final grab at them. The so called bad letters Continue reading
Google PR update Headaches Webmasters
After listing to WebmasterRadio.fm ‘s GoodKarma

- Speaking about PageRank and Paid Links
During the last week of Oct 2007 Google did a very large page rank update. This left lots of Webmasters (myself included) what was going on? Word is out that the big “G” was/is trying to shake up the paid link industry. I have been hearing that lots of sites experienced a dropped if they were hosting paid links; this was later confirmed confirmed by Matt Cutts. This not only affects the site selling the links apparently, but has caused wide spread changes via a ripple effect. Staring from Host of said paid links to the other sites that have links on those same pages in a legit exchange of relational value. G is trying to get the real value of a vote to a quality web page/site. This doesn’t really seem the right way to handle it.
There have also been reports that YouTube (which is owned by Google) bounced from a PR8 – to PR3- then back to PR8 . Authoritative site “New York Post” has been dropped down to a 5 and this started two weeks before this big shift in the Google ranking system.Continue reading
